Jeff Hardy suspended indefinitely by AEW following DUI arrest

Jeff Hardy has been suspended indefinitely without pay by All Elite Wrestling following his DUI arrest on Monday. Jeff Hardy was also arrested for violating restrictions placed on a driving license, and driving with a suspended license. This is his 3rd DUI charge in the last 10 years.

AEW President & CEO Tony Khan released the following statement:

AEW does not condone Jeff’s alleged behavior. We’ve made it clear to Jeff that we’ll assist him in getting treatment for substance abuse issues, which he has indicated that he’s open to receiving. In the interim, he’s suspended without pay, and he can only return to AEW upon successfully completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety.

The statement ended with:

If you or a loved one needs help, please reach out to SAMHSA’s National Helpline: 1-800-662-4357.

Jeff Hardy was scheduled to compete with his brother Matt Hardy on the upcoming AEW Dynamite on Wednesday.\

On a personal note, as a long time fan, I really hope Jeff can get the help he needs to defeat his demons once and for all. It's only a matter of time before he fatally injures himself or others while driving under the influence.
