Letters from Thomas

Life, random writing, and religion. And no, my name's not Thomas, it's Rich. I'm a writer, a thinker, a Catholic, a veteran, a homeschooling dad, and often a blunt individual. My thoughts are my own, but I'll share a few of them here. Why Thomas then? Because there have been many dogged and brilliant Thomases throughout the ages, and who doesn't want to be dogged and brilliant? To name a few: The Apostle Thomas was a pragmatist who questioned everything, even Jesus. Yet God kept leading him back to the Truth. He ultimately died for that Truth—Jesus. Thomas Aquinas, the 'Angelic Doctor' and also the 'Dumb Ox,' is still one of the greatest thinkers of all time. Thomas Sowell is just a brilliant economist and social and political commentator. Thomas Jefferson, the third US President, penned the Declaration of Independence, which is an enduring piece of writing that is so filled with truth it sparked a revolution. It forever changed the world's views on individual freedom and sovereign governance.

Seeing God

Do you treat God the way you want to be treated? He deserves to be treated infinitely better, but so many of us barely treat Him the tiniest fraction as well as we do ourselves.
