About me
Hi! I'm Mattie. My pronouns are they/them/theirs.
I'm a Software Consultant & Developer at Atomic Object Ann Arbor.
I'm a Muppet nerd. I get rather intense about older Nintendo and homebrew software for them. I pretty much think in Unix, and care a lot about portability and good engineering. I'm pretty passionate about whatever it is that I'm currently thinking about, needing to dive as deep as I can.
Where else I am
You can find me a couple other places online:
- Queer Garden (Mastodon, personal)
- Hachyderm (Mastodon, nerd shit)
- GitHub
And you can shoot me an email at me@mattiebee.io, should you so desire.
Projects
I've worked on so many things over the years. Some of them have actually seen the light of day. Here's a sampling of some of those I'm currently proud of:
dye, a portable (as in, runs pretty much everywhere) and respectful (as in, is careful to only turn on color when it's wanted) color library for shell scripts
4-e, Game Boy Advance homebrew that emulates an e-Reader to send e-Cards to Super Mario Advance 4
gbfs-web, a webapp to bundle files onto a GBFS-compatible homebrew ROM (such as 4-e)
turbotree, a tool to automatically rebuild JavaScript monorepos as you work in them
portable-color, a portable and lightweight library to add color to your shell scripts
download-windows-esd, a tool to download Windows 11 directly from Microsoft (and its companion tools, windows-esd-to-iso and windows-iso-to-usb)
fediplay, a command-line Mastodon client that automatically plays your friends' music
webterm, a terminal app that neither sings nor dances
Band Brothers Save Tool, a GUI too for manipulating the save files of import cult hit Daigasso! Band Brothers
octothorpe, an Asterisk Manager Interface library for the Twisted engine
