Ghost

All of this big words
And complaints of the grand picture
When all that we want is to feel less alone
In this messy life
Where nothing seems to care enough
Where all the futures are up for grab
Your hands through my hair
A touch of your lips
A promise that you'll be there
When my mind goes amiss

I'll sculpt this story
For myself to hear again
That this dream is not gone
Convinced to believe
That this world is fair

But the tears come running
And I fall again
I have yet to tell you
How much I care

For this heart of mine
Is tender and frail
I'm ashamed, hollowed
When you look upon me

I've carved every path
Only to be lost
When I stare into the mirror
I see only a ghost
