reality

Today, a beautiful flower grew in my mother's garden. I was mesmerized by it; such a beautiful thing shouldn't have grown out of nowhere. I had never seen anything so peculiar. It was incredibly beautiful, unbelievably bright and colorful.

As I looked closely, I could see all the colors in the deepest part of the flower, near the nucleus, fading into a calm shade of yellow towards the edges. It stood alone amidst a sea of red roses, yet it was not a rose itself. It defied definition. It was... amazing.

I couldn't take my eyes off it; I was captivated. The flower seemed so graceful, as if it were smiling, swaying its delicate petals from side to side. I was intoxicated by its scent, addicted to its subtle movements.

But was any of it real? How could it be?
