11. About the bathroom / slaughterhouse

Another stone to the wall of the German flat tacky style: my bathroom with its white tiles on all four walls from floor to ceiling, ceiling with the popcorn wallpaper by the way, very 1970's.
Whenever I enter my bathroom, I feel like in a slaughterhouse or in an operating theatre (which one is worst, I cannot choose between them, either way, the less time I spend in it the best I feel).
Why put white tiles from top to bottom on all walls of a room?!
Why put the "Raufaser" (this popcorn wallpaper) on the ceiling in such a humid room?
With the glass door in the living room, the look is almost complete, right?

Well, I talked earlier about the lack of ventilation systems in the bathroom, which is very surprising in Germany knowing that they are "Lüftung" Freaks in this country.
And what can I say, it does not make sense.

In the bathroom of my apartment in this newly built building, there is no window, only a 24/24h electric ventilation that can be "accelerated" on demand with a switch. The idea is good, but the execution is very very bad as the humidity is always superior to 60% and about 90% when taking a quite warm but not hot 5-minutes shower.
Free sauna! Yay!
Hopefully for the walls, I hate taking a bath.

Maybe that is why there is no cabinet in this bathroom, otherwise the particule board of most furniture would have been moldy after a couple of years.
