auto-clickers

None of the simple auto-clickers (OP Auto Clicker, GS Auto Clicker, or TinyTask) can automatically detect and close unexpected popups like promotion windows. They operate on fixed coordinates or recorded paths and will blindly click the promotion window instead of your target button, breaking your workflow.
To handle unexpected conditions, you must use AutoHotkey. It is a scripting language that can "see" window titles and classes, allowing it to make decisions (e.g., "If a popup exists, close it; otherwise, click the button").
How AutoHotkey Handles Popups
Unlike coordinate-based clickers, AutoHotkey uses conditional logic. You can write a script that runs a loop: it constantly checks if the promotion window exists. If it does, the script closes it immediately. If it doesn't, the script proceeds to click your target coordinates.
Example Script Logic:
This script clicks at coordinates (500, 300) every 2 seconds, but instantly closes any window titled "Promotion" or "Alert" if it appears.
#Persistent
SetTimer, ClosePopups, 500 ; Check for popups every 0.5 seconds
Return
; --- Main Loop ---
Loop
{
; Check if popup is NOT present before clicking
IfWinNotExists, Promotion ; Replace with actual popup title
{
Click, 500, 300 ; Your target coordinates
Sleep, 2000 ; Wait 2 seconds
}
Return
}
; --- Popup Handler ---
ClosePopups:
IfWinExist, Promotion ; Replace with actual popup title/text
{
WinClose, Promotion ; Automatically close it
; Optional: WinClose, ahk_class #32770 (closes standard Windows message boxes)
}
Return
Esc::ExitApp ; Press Esc to stop
Key Advantages for Your Use Case
- Window Detection: It identifies windows by Title, Text, or Class (e.g.,
ahk_class #32770for standard error boxes), not just pixels. This works even if the popup appears in a slightly different spot. - Non-Blocking: The
SetTimerfunction allows the script to monitor for popups in the background while performing your main clicking task. - Robustness: If a popup appears, the script handles it and resumes the main task automatically without human intervention.
How to Implement
- Identify the Popup: Use the Window Spy tool (included with AutoHotkey) to find the exact "Title" or "Class" of the promotion window when it appears.
- Write the Script: Replace
Promotionin the code above with the actual title or text found in Window Spy. - Run: Save as a
.ahkfile and double-click to run.
Conclusion: For your specific requirement of handling unexpected promotion windows, AutoHotkey is the only viable free solution. Simple auto-clickers will fail because they lack the logic to distinguish between your target button and an interruption.
