This psalm is often quoted to show man’s unique position in creation. Isn’t it amazing how much the all-powerful God cares for each of us! This is true, but it is only in Jesus that all of the truths of this psalm are fulfilled.

God is above all—the creator of all things. What is man? Man is nothing. But the God-man, Jesus Christ, is crowned with glory over all creation: earth, sea, and sky.
