Money

Steve heard that you can buy anything in the world with money. He found that to generally true. But, there are a few things that seem like it can't buy. Those that say you can't buy happiness are wrong. Every person who does not have enough for their essentials will be happier with more money. Of course he learned that you can't buy happiness all the time. Continuous happiness comes from somewhere else.

Growing up poor. Living in a double wide trailer with 8 siblings Steve knows what it means to be white trash. It was not the lack of money that bothered him. The pain came from not being accepted. Not being loved by those outside of those that are expected to love you. His mother loved him and he knew secretly he was one of her favorites. The lack of money prevented him from "looking good" and Steve knew that prevented him from being in the "cool" crowd. He shielded himself from judgment by saying he he did not need those things and focused on being unique. Dropping out of high school to go to college. Moving from College to a Fortune 500 company where he learned in the real world most men are operating from a stance of fear protecting what little power they had. After getting a promotion that caused fallout with a close college Steve left the "Too big to fail, but should fail" company and started Foresight. In search of finding that lasting happiness Foresight uses Machine Learning and personal tracking devices to track happiness levels through the day and provide user feedback. The most surprising piece of data discovered is that Post Coital Sadness effects more people than previously thought. Foresight is now partnering with health professional to help Foresight customers get to the next level of happiness by understanding and accepting the sadness they experience.

Early Steve learned that money was tied to things and things are tied to impressing people. Nobody seemed impress with Steve and the trash family he came from. He committed young to making money but somewhere long the way here changed from wanting things to just wanting enough money to have all the things. The things did not bring happiness but enough money to having anything he wanted brought him satisfaction. But, the satisfaction is far short of the happiness he believes he should be able to find.

With the success of Foresight, and maybe more because of age, Steve is seeing the world differently and reevaluating what how he wants to experience the it. He knows money, love, and happiness are intertwined for him and he want to get the balance right.
