Validation

Why do we continue to seek validation from others? Is this set in our DNA? We learned to seek out approval from our parents, friends, teachers, family members etc. what harm is there in seeking others approval?

Every time we seek out someone else to pat our shoulders, we slip away from our true identity. See every one of us has this conditioned self (there will be a post on this later.) We are taught to think and believe in certain things. Other people have this perceived idea of who you are. They have this picture in their head and when they approve or give you negative feedback, this is their mental image of who you are in their mind. The more you adjust your actions to their approval the more you start to mold yourself into their truth of who you are.

We need to start looking inward for validation. How can you validate yourself to ensure you are living in your truth?
