China and CCP

China is an absolute regime. They have no willingness or ability (if they are to stay in power) to adapt. They take down all decent and use torture to keep people in line. I am not going to try and express this to any great degree myself. The video below will say far more than I ever could.

TikTok, ByteDance, CCP

TikTok is, at the time or writing, wholly owned by ByteDance which is based out of China. It is impossible to separate China and the CCP at this point in time. A bit over a decade ago it was kinda possible because they were allowing foreigners in to work within China, but have since stopped allowing that. This also means that Nobody that is not working for the CCP will be allowed to exit China. The following is a quote that I wrote as a comment on this video on the Epoch Times app:

What she described the CCP doing is what having a TikTok based out of China is enabling. This is what any app out of China is benefiting. Move them to the USA if you really want to keep using them. Doing less is to enable the torture and killing of people the CCP deems enemies of their regime.

TikTok is akin to having every phone in the USA bugged by Soviet KGB agents in the 1970's. I realize it is "only" on half of all devices in the USA, but how often is something recorded with someone who isn't recording in earshot? It might as well be on all. Hopefully President Trump can find a way to buy it off Bytedance. If not, an open source alternative could be Odysee (LBRY Protocol). This is not about freedom of speech in the USA. This is about both security in the US and not funding a regime that does what is described in the video above.
