Police officers are playing copyrighted music to prevent people uploading videos of them to YouTube &c. This has been going on for a while and it's really hard to think of a good reason they might do this: it's almost certainly, almost always, an attempt to prevent evidence of wrongdoing existing.
How hard is it to strip audio from video before uploading it1? Is there an app that will do this? Why not?
