Writing today was a good time. It was with the Moleskine smart pen which aids in digitizing cursive handwriting. So it streamlines the process of getting from the paper to the digital world. The setting was a prosaic convenience store that is by a busy road. Okay caffeine, but the clerks act friendly, and it feels offputting. Maybe the term is creepy. Maybe that is normal behavior for most watering holes. Then, of course, the writer is extra sensitive at all times.
An acquaintance had a drama when the battery went out on her key fob for her car with keyless entry. She sounded nearly hysterical, and it was difficult for the writer to explain about the hidden physical key in her key fob. Then one explained about the hidden keyhole on the door. Then it is an esoteric step to get the powerless keyfob to turn on the engine in the car. We are following this closely as they say on teevee news. By that time, the hapless car owner was away from her vehicle. So the writer explained all of those steps hypothetically. The AI. search engine proved useful for finding those steps which one then relayed to the driver by phone call.
The writer honestly feels a bit apprehensive about the family gathering in November. One was just hoping to enjoy some coffee with one relative, but it seems like it might turn into a larger family reunion. Maybe the writer will choose to skip the bigger events this time.
Things go well at home. Someone mentioned that the writer is taking care of the housemate, which is true, but maybe the writer didn't care for anyone bringing up the obvious. The writer feels good about progress on a fabric project. Whether the finished piece will be something that the writer can actually use remains to be seen, the process provides enjoyment. It may end up as just another project tucked away in the “funny ideas” pile, but that’s okay.
Today fare at the house was salad and then hummus sandwiches. Before that, we had the traditional soft boiled eggs and toast and jam for breakfast. For dinner, we dined on Italian styled fennel sausage from the deli nearby us.
