Good day. I completed all my fitness goals and will weigh myself tomorrow. I went into town to attend the worship center, but once there, it was too noisy to stay. I brought home Russian cookies and sushi for my housemate. The bus ride back from downtown was surprisingly quick and easy.
Writing Morning Pages went smoothly in the pre-dawn hours. The household seems to benefit from adding extra vegetable protein daily—despite our usual poor meals and snacks.
I had quite a bit of caffeine today: 12 oz. of cold brew, four shots of espresso, and some pu-erh tea. All caffeinated. Last night, after cutting back on caffeine, I slept wonderfully—over an hour of restorative sleep in addition to my usual rest.
The day slipped by, and now it's time for my daily blog, which today consists of this journal entry.
The cat plush I'm crocheting from chenille yarn is coming along. However, like another pattern I tried, the free version lacks helpful details. I may end up purchasing the full pattern with pictures and tips.
Crypto performed slightly better today, though I'm still in the red with my holdings. I subscribed to a purchase plan to avoid future transaction fees. Reading about different cryptocurrencies is enjoyable—many have lofty, abstract goals that are hard to grasp, but it's interesting to imagine what their creators hope to achieve.
A friend is visiting at the end of the month, and I look forward to meeting him at the airport. For some reason, I’ve held onto a desire to travel, and meeting a traveler feels like the closest I’ll get to having airport business of my own. Of course, this depends on whether travel remains possible amid the government shutdown.
I’m receiving a new computer tomorrow, which should be fun to use. The keyboard for it arrived today—not cheap, but more reasonable than buying directly from the original manufacturer.
Time is flying. The weeks pass quickly. I have a milestone birthday coming up soon. Hopefully, no one will notice. At my age, it’s better not to draw attention to such things.
