Proof for the Bible part 6: Summation leading toward reliability
April 7, 2025โข670 words
At this conclusion of our proof for the Bible, it should be noted that we barely scratched the surface. Much more could have been said, and even more can be studied. However, enough evidence was given to prove the Bible is factual and accurate. Enough truth has been shared to give all who are reading a base upon which they can build their own study. How many reading this will ignore these truths? How many will decide this nameless blog and author is crazy? This does not affect this author in any way. At the end of the day, each one of us, you, dear reader, and myself, will stand in judgment.
If I am wrong, then my whole life and all that is involved is pitiable. I have denied myself the world pleasures, I have cut myself off from the world and all that is therein. I have limited my abilities and scope, following a false belief that ends me up in the grave next to the millionaires and billionaires. The difference between our two rotting bodies is one enjoyed this life and left everything for others, and I took some joy, some sorrow, and some limitations, and left everything for others.
But what if I am right? What if the Bible is true and all that is in it stands? What does that mean? For those who are unsaved, it means they will be judged based on the Bible and the standards therein. It will mean they stand before a Holy and Righteous God who will judge all. Sure, I may not have everything in this life, but one thing I take with me where the worlds wealthy may not, is eternal life. While I do not have all this world can offer, I am not living for this present world. I am living for the world to come. A kingdom where Jesus rules and reigns, and a future where He will have dominion over all the earth (Revelation).
Dear reader, you must chose where you stand. No one can force you to make a choice and accept Jesus. I sure will not. But the weight of argument from all five parts presented in this series, I pray has caused you to pause. The reality is that you, if you have not accepted Jesus, will stand in judgment before God. There is two rulers by which you will be judged. The first is your faith in Jesus Christ. If you have trusted in Him, you are redeemed by the blood of Jesus on the cross. There is a judgment seat of Christ (1 Corinthians 10) and that is not anything to scoff at, however, you are saved.
If I am right, and you have not accepted Jesus, then you are under the judgment of the law. The Ten Commandments is only a portion of the whole law (there are about 616 laws). No one can live that perfectly, and it will only lead to wrath and judgment for sin. That is why Jesus came. We cannot redeem ourselves, and the law itself points to the reality that we must come to Jesus. Jesus died on the cross to save us from the wrath of God! Jesus and God are One. Therefore, Jesus died to save us...from HIMSELF!
Dear reader, If I am right, then it is not just the grave that we have at the end of our life, it is an eternity based on judgment. The judgment of innocence because of the Righteousness of Jesus, or the judgment of guilty because of our sins, unforgiving. We must chose. Based on the reality, logic, reason, and truth of what is seen in the Scripture, I have and millions like me, have made that choice. You must chose as well. Chose wisely because, first, we only have this life to chose rightly, and second, we are NEVER guaranteed our next breath. Where will you stand when you die? As for me, I kneel before the cross in humble submission.
