"Michelle became aware of her special power when she flicked the switch to the broken basement light, out of habit, and the light went on."
She slowly walked down the stairs as the light slowly flickered then returned on. The basement stairs were very hard and grey with dust spread all over them. A Michelle reached the floor of the basement, she could see the boxes and furniture scattered across the room with dust and spider webs covering the ceiling. On the left corner however was a desk stood alone, which was made of this bright wood which was varnished making it stand out of the wardrobes and tables surrounding it.
