Travel documentaries by Alice Roberts

It’s a rainy day, perfect for being a couch potato and watching TV. I'm feeling the laziness creeping up on me.

I picked a travel documentary by Alice Roberts called Ottoman Empire by Train. I’ve recently watched Ancient Greece by Train by Alice Roberts and have really enjoyed it. I liked the style of the documentary:

  • watching Alice travelling by trains and seeing lots of beautiful sights along the way.
  • listening to her talking to historians at every stop and hearing local stories.
  • the documentary is easy to follow and understand, nicely paced, you won’t feel like that you’re at a history or archaeological lecture.

Alice’s pink hair will grow on you too.

Let me know what you think of them…
