January Updates!

Well hello again!
It was a busy January to say the least. Journal updates were few and far between due to lack of time and brain energy. However, I still managed to complete two out of three courses for my Project Management certificate from CU Boulder's Coursera offerings. Project Planning and Initiation and Project Executing and Controlling were the two courses I found myself engorging my brain on Saturday afternoons. Really these courses are serving as great refreshers for knowledge I haven't used or just plain forgot in the past 25 years. I am finding nuggets of information that are very relevant to my current role and a lot of "oh yeah, DUH" as I'm going through the material. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks but you can remind him of the ones he learned 20 years ago.
The last course is Agile Project Management, which I've never been formally trained in, just experienced a lot in the past 6 or 7 years. I'm eager to learn "by the book" the Agile techniques beyond just a scrum meeting. Agile in my experience is the most human friendly way to work. We as humans know that change is always going to happen and it serves no good to ignore the change going on around you instead of adapting to it. More Human systems equals better results for Humans, I know so bold of me to say, in our Ai driven world...
