I’m at church for the first time since I’d made the effort to clean up my relationship with God.

It’s an amazing and yet extremely different experience to operate with the intent of being an expression of pure love.

I’m noticing the truth in the saying, “ perfect love, cast out all fears” and and as my focus was on love, regardless of how wiggly my boys were or the joyful noises of my youngest that there is a sense of peace and joy.

This is further reinforced by one of the talks given in church by a sweet and amazing adult down syndrome, girl.

Her talk was filled with love, appreciation, and the constant theme of joy kept coming back up.

After having a chance to speak with her father in appreciation of what she had shared, and how joy was a reoccurring theme.

He smiled and said that Joy is her middle name and that anytime they read the Bible together and the word joy comes up, she joyfully says, “that’s my middle name”, making reading the bible much more interactive.

Although I don’t know if the church of my youth is the place where I’m called to be, it was nice to be there with my family during the Christmas service.

I look forward to getting to experience more miracles of light love and joy. In both this season and in any season to come.
