So I kept reading
The person that had been untruthful in their dealings with me as a client, I had strongly considered, just giving them their money back and telling them that they would no longer be allowed to be a client of mine in the future, and that they will not be allowed to attend any events or trainings that I hold as well.
This was my natural man response to someone who was being deceptive and only trying to get money back from me because of the poor financial decisions, they made outside of our coaching agreement.
But I was getting drawn back to reading what Jesus said in Matthew to those who persecute you in despiteful use you.
As I’m on my walk to go pick up my boy, I’m likely not going to get this exact.
But it’s something like for those force you to go 1 mile with them walk with them the extra mile pray for those that hate you and for those that persecute you.
Now praying for those that I work with. There’s something that I do all the time already regardless of how good or how challenging things may be in the moment.
There was also a part in there about if someone were to slap you on one side of the face turn also your other side of your face to them.
After a lot of prayer, I was given direction as to what I was to do.
Because of the resulting challenges that were rising that were outside of our initial agreement and that those conditions had been fulfilled, we needed to have a conversation about that.
The prayer also answered that I was one of only a few people that could help this person with the present presenting in reoccurring challenge they were experiencing.
And that I was to walk with them, the extra mile of my own choice, my own volition, and at my own personal expense.
And to offer them nine sessions where we will be laser like, focusing in on fixing the underlying issues that were causing the reoccurring issues.
Putting into action what Jesus said to walk with them the extra mile.
Now I’m gonna be perfectly honest with you. I wasn’t really excited about that answer.
But my heart knew That it was right.
In this confirmation had come well in conversation with this person. And resulted in unexpected love, care and thoughtfulness, as well as deep appreciation on their side.
God is good even when we’re being challenged to do the uncomfortable in our walk with Him for the sake of his children.
In the discomfort is not a good measure as to whether something is good or not.
