Grab Meal Review: Fried Chicken Mueang Ling & Restaurant - "Southern Fried Wings", ”Crispy Squid Pancak", "Vegetable Spring Rolls", and "Bbq Pork Ribs"

Starting with the amounts:

• Southern wings comes with 2 wings and a sauce.
• The spring rolls come with 6 rolls and a sauce.
• You get about a dozen of squid pieces.
• The ribs come with 2 rib segments of a small size, drenched in sauce, and with a side of fries (maybe a dozen of them), a bag of mayo-like sauce in a bag, and a basic salad (purple cabbage, cucumber, baby tomatos, and ...red cabbage?).

All sauces (besides the bbq's) are well separated for those uninterested.

The spring roll sauce is thin and like a barely flavoured sugar syrup. Personally, I prefer plum sauce for spring rolls, but this is non-offensive. The spring rolls themselves are good and reasonably priced.

The wing sauce is a sweet and sour sauce with chili. It is far too spicy for me.

The squid tastes of fried potato skins, is bitter, is overly salty, and tastes generally unpleasant.

The BBQ Rib's sauce is thin, tastes quite tomato-y, and is more spicy then flavourful. If you like heat you may tolerate it. The meat itself is nothing exciting.

The fries are bland crinkle cuts which just taste of potato. They are unsalted and have a soft texture like they were done in the oven, but are too oily for that. They taste like standard fries from the freezer, which is very disappointing.

The southern wings are battered in such a way that could only really be done with egg. They taste un-flavoured. No particular flavour to the batter (if there was any spicing, the flavours didn't survive the frying).

The value is poor, and the are items are worse.

The best of this bunch is comfortably the spring rolls, which are quite nice but nothing special.

The worst of this bunch is the squid, which is less flavorful and appetizing than grass is, which I can say for certain as I have had grass before.

Of this set, avoid all of these items besides the spring rolls if ordering from this restuarant.
