Yin and Yang

Opposing forces
the first sip may be bitter
another sweet
and somehow that good and evil
work together
we discover all the chaos of this universe
and yet still find
a little harmony.
Yin and yang
cooperation
no one person is perfect
nor any cup of coffee
but sitting back
taking a moment to observe what caused the situation
we can learn, improve,
savor every different taste
find compassion for the world
kindness, and caring.
Finish off that cup
what started off so difficult
the last sip comes with great ease,
tomorrow will be so much better
having that satisfaction and knowledge
that tomorrow can be made so much better
through patience, love and a generous heart.
One cup,
one interaction at a time
making each moment a better moment,
a better humanity.
