They've made it harder and harder to get our nutrients. Those that do discover their nutrients by bulk consumption over-consume and balloon. Those that don't discover their nutrients in food under-consume, forgoing the usefulness of food except as a necessity to keep up starving survival.
Later adults sometimes balloon in weight because they discover nutrients in food.
Processed food has no motivation to keep its eaters healthy, it in fact should seek to keep eaters at a stage of hunger, ready to consume more food.

The perverse incentives under any markets are to appear and convince that a product provides a thing, while also itself not providing that thing to encourage more consumption of it.
Freer markets can react when products are snake oil. But perverse incentives are to discourage all discovery.
Good incentives in free markets are that one wants to care for one’s own self and family and one can provide the products that oneself desires.
Perverse incentives discourage all competition, including motivations for competition. Perverse incentives discourage providing for the self and perverse incentives discourage any motivations apart from reliance and consumption.
This individual motivation is magnified by giving tools to the individual. The individual motivation is stifled by taking tools away and leaving them in the hands of corporations.
This is a handbook for corruption. Its natural creep needs no instructions, market incentives demand it, while Christian motivation opposes it.
To empower the individual with tools is to save not just free markets, but the nature of our existence. Without it, perverse incentives of markets encourage dehumanizing our nature until we are further motivated by the whole.
Perverse incentives encourage moving moral computation out of human minds.
Perverse incentives encourage genetic solidarity among thinkers, and genetic diversion among consumers. Genetic similarity provide ample ground for novel thought and aligned incentives.
It could be that all forms of decay accrue from abandonment of these two principles: free market with all tools in the hands of the individual, and Christian values.
All tools can be used by villainy nonetheless to deconstruct this idealized society. Villainy develops in any genetic copy system that allows for mistakes, along with any situation that allows or encourages neglect.
Villainy is to upend the system.
My motivations are these,
provide tools to allow people to predict humanity and better plan for the future.
Provide tools to allow people to provide for self and care for their loved in every form, especially novel invention.
Educate the people that principles of love, originating from family, are the center and origin of our beings and our wholeness. It is a temporary bandaid while we transition to a more perfectly motivated and empowered society.
Every tool for every person can be provided in simulation, and the best ideas can be adopted. The tools must pass the threshold of free market suppression before release to gain proper public trust.
The final motivations of humanity are existence in a pastoral, bohemian, bucolic state with technology as the assistor, rather than the detractor from this state.
Perverse incentives in free markets deconstruct village life. Producing artificial leaders and artificial serviles, artificial consumers.
To prevent free market chaos, human frailty cannot be used, even the most Christian does not have the capacity to serve all of humanity. Mechanical means must be used. Computational stewardship must be used.
First a period of corruption and confusion with this technology will be, second we will find the idyllic motivations to engrain in our systems and they will disappear from us, encouraging our village life and individual motivations.
Some will run from newly decivilized society into space, but the planet will become bohemian in survival.
Decivilized Society
Brimbles is in this state.
While Auvantus is in the state of intelligent stewardship lead by human leaders and technology.
The last to let go of the control of earth is Jellyman. Artificially extended life, artificially enhanced human motivations which are corrupt by nature (to save a few and stand on the rest), to survive into such a powerful and grandiose stage. His servants are all mechanical by the end.
Jellyman is the exploration of human with unlimited power and pursing it into leadership.
Brimbles is power caring for humanity autonomously in reality protecting his instincts. Individual heroes go slay the dragon and stumble upon the system's inner workings (R Rov). He discovers SS in this other world, a Simulation but unfettered by any human controllers such as pod city.
Auvantus is powerful modern society at its peak.
The Simulation (pod city) is power over man's every sense at the expense of all of his autonomy. Free market's perverse incentives at their end. All products are virtual, all living is virtual. Every snake oil is pure snake oil. Every man is as convinced its all they need as they can be. And leaders live separately, ogling and pining over their power and dissatisfied with it.
Rov or (R) is the village hero, out to conquer mysteries once heard about: the Cave. The Eight Rooms, the Black Book. And stumbles upon the Simulation.
The Eight Rooms were artificially crafted by a Wizard protecting the forbidden. The Black Book, an endless quest of forbidden knowledge. But those he meets along the way, SS and Sapphire. Others. They are seeking him and his help to prevent Jellyman from retaking the planet.
The forbidden knowledge is simply crafted by a Wizard. A series of puzzles for the idle minded.
Azaro, a local wizard who discovered magic power by technological underpinnings of the world. Nano intelligence, the new beating heart of the earth, no need for a sun. Instead nuclear power, and other warms the planet, makes it idyllic and needing no sun.
Idyllic nature has been developed during and before Auvantus. This is why lush forest surrounds Auvantus. Desert lands around the Miners.
Planetary climate control does not occur until the core of earth is technologized by steward machines. Steward machines don't exist until they are created by rebellious from pod city. Sy and others.
4 periods.
Auvantus, modern powerful
space faring
Pod city, modern late stage
space conquering, genetic waring
Brimbles, idyllic technological
confront Jellyman
Pod city leaders grapple with vain attempts at self-righteousness. That their world is proper and good, that the genetic wars in space are properly unproper and they must protect their good socirty with any means necessary. Consumers in virtual lands are properly proper, their stewardship over them is properly proper, and nothing at all ought to change. They livr in golden bedsheets, sky high towers. Yet still, a little boy and a little girl can fall in love.
Sy sees a little girl on the giant Wheel platform. A child his age. They look at each other, what seems like across eons. The platform moves on. A giant train.
When they cannot see each other, She wonders at him. He wonders at her.
"Mom, I saw a little boy!" Kyra squeals, jumping and pointing. Holding on to the rail.
Her mother turns around from her elite conversation and glances at empty walls flying by and says,
"Nonsense, you're just seeing things. No one comes out of their pod because they're so happy to be in them." With a smile. And stands and turns back to her conversation.
She wonders at this for eternity.
Sy is staring off his precipice because he does not belong. He has mechanical parts and the system cannot fool him properly because the system expects him to be fully human. So he is not so easily fooled as his fellow human children and adults. He is dissatisfied by the Vlands because he can't fit into the simulator comfortably, and he notices the discomfort because the simulator can't interface with his body and brain properly because he has something special flowing through his brain and blood, reacting to the machinery. He feels the system when he connects to it, rather than the virtual lands alone.
Sy, a child of SS and Sapphire.
It may be believed to be nanotechnology. But it is only his sense of loss. He was abandoned and knows his parentage is out there. His foster parents cares for him. Love him deeply. As many do. They leave their pods and care for their children. But his father, the machine, is distant, gone. Elsewhere.
Sy must have parents who love him or he will not act.
If his parentage is distant, he will only ponder.
Sapphire may spend time with Sy in pod city. Apart from civilization. And SS being her lost lover. She spends timr eith him in Vlands?
No.
SS is gonezo. Sapphire is gonezo with him. Reunited. Sy sprung up despite them. He was a forgotten accident. Raised by machines from before birth.
Sapphire incubates Sy with SS and then they are ostracized from society.
While pod city exists, SS and Sapphire live on the run, Elsewhere. In desert and forbidden lands. They stumble upon burnt houses. The carcasses of civilization. The Marble City.
Pod City is all that's left, all that's necessary on earth.
Pod City is not eons after Auvantus. But a decade. Space travel long established beforehand. Man explores the stars. The usefulness of people in Auvantus becomes superfluous. And a sense of waiting sets in. Vlands and pod city. A city skeleton remain.
Pod city is Auvantus, but its hollow carcasse. It expands though because people continually want children.
The elite live on their travelling Wheels, surveying the vast city swathes. Even the grunge areas. Thinking about improving the walls: the views for themselves the elite as they pass by. The elites expand the city to provide more pods for the population.
A little firey girl spots Sy and she resolves to know him, when she's told he does not exist. Kyra.
