The inherent problem is distrust.
Society is built on a system of distrust, and Christianity asks us to ignore any form of distrust, that it is unfounded.
Distrust is founded on the separation of genetic priorities. We are inherently at odds, even among siblings. To compete is to live. It's a dog eat dog world out there, and in here too.
Knowing distrust is inherent, the least motivated by anything else are children. No sexual or other desires drawing them towards trusting others. They are entirely and inherently goal driven. This is their superpower.
Religions come in different shapes and sizes. Distrust is at the heart.
1 Christianity (and communism) denies the need for distrust and asks us to cooperate and collaborate as if there were no reason for distrust.
2 Judaism embraces concepts of distrust and insists we must coordinate despite this shortcoming.
Everyone without any framework for trust thirsts for it and becomes more desperate for it over time.
