Some disappointing but not unexpected results from this survey including the fact that the vast majority of end users may be unaware that they are listening to AI generated music, being unable to tell the difference!
Deezer has also recently revealed that around 50,000 fully AI-generated tracks are now uploaded to its own platform every day, and that this accounts for approximately 34% of all daily uploads.

As a counter to this Bandcamp has banned any AI generated content from it’s platform saying ‘ We believe that the human connection found through music is a vital part of our society and culture, and that music is much more than a product to be consumed. It’s the result of a human cultural dialog stretching back before the written word.’

However, not everything is black and white, and like most of us I too have looked to AI, not to create work, but as part of the research process of uncovering new ideas.
A reasonable post from Jessi Frey takes this further saying that she been creating music with AI since the first decent models came out in 2024 and that artists should use whatever tools and instruments they choose.
