This weekend is a first time for the Sonic Labs group to come to my studio for an improv / jam session.

I will be continuing my exploration of Live Coding using Tidal Cycles. More on this soon.

Sonic Labs began at the Stove in Dumfries around 4 years ago with monthly get together usually lasting a couple of hours and featuring a range of activities including presentations and workshop sessions. But mainly local musicians looking to challenge themselves and play in an informal group setting.

Keyboard problems solved

New keyboard - yay. Well a second hand - given a new life :-) This is going to make everything so much easier. 1) I can now type directly on my iPad. 2) I now have full mac keyboard shortcuts when using my IMac music software and in particular with Live Coding. It's been a long time coming. I first explored live coding several years ago, but it was never more than just following curiosity to see where it would go. A couple more failed attempts to do something interesting with it came and went. Mainly other projects and life getting in the way.
