Cleanliness

Cats are among the most hygienic animals in the world. Soon after they are born, they know how to clean themselves, how to keep other fellow cats clean and to live in a clean environment.

Cats usually don’t sleep in an environment where it’s not clean at all. And unlike most of the “so-called” amazing pets such as dogs, they cover up their litter, verify that a couple of times and also do their business in a clean environment.

They also don’t get dirty stuff on their fur, and if anything fall on their fur or body, it’ll put in lots of focused time licking themselves. Their tongues are unique. It has a very minute comb-like structure on it. They also use a special technique with their saliva. This lets them clean themselves.

Another method is sand rolling. They smell an area of sand. After making sure it’s clean, they then roll in it.

They also spend some value time in the sun, probably to kill the germs.

I am saying all these from my experience of rearing more than sixty cats.

But remember that some cats may have rabies, or other diseases. So avoid touching an unvaccinated cat.
