No one knew where Bethlehem was, back then

Bethlehem. The birthplace of Jesus. Where magi followed the horoscope and travelled far from the east to pay homage to this new king. (Yes, fellow churchfolk, the "three wise men" followed astrology to the Christ.)

Bethlehem is famous today. But back then, Bethlehem was a backwater. A nowhere place.

Rome was the centre of the world. Jerusalem was the centre of Rome's colony of Judea.

Bethlehem was a nowhere place.

But it is where Jesus was born.

The same is happening today.

Christ is "born" today not necessarily in New York City or London. The move of God does not begin under the auspices of the United Nations.

The huge wave near the shore starts as a tiny clap far away in an unseen place.

What does this mean? This means that you need to develop the spiritual skill of looking at what cannot be seen.
