The Willow Project

🇺🇸 Many of my friends are upset that President Biden approved the Willow Project, and they are now threatening lawsuits against the project. I totally understand their anger, because a few years ago, I would have been just as angry as they are. Now I cringe at their inability to understand the complexity of the world. Fortunately they won't get very far with the lawsuits.

President Biden is doing the right thing. Energy costs in Europe are not sustainable. The USA has to produce more fossil fuels in order to bring down energy costs in Europe and around the world. Until we are capable of meeting all of our energy needs through clean energy, which is still several years away, we must continue to produce fossil fuels. Otherwise we will enrich human rights violators, destroy our economy, create a cost-of-living crisis, create energy poverty, and we will no longer have the funds to invest in clean energy at all.
