Sweden IS Joining NATO

🇸🇪 We are pleased that Finland has joined the NATO alliance, but we are not pleased with Hungary or Turkey for delaying Sweden's accession process. We expect Sweden's NATO membership to be finalized before the next NATO summit.
As I stated back in March: "We will happily exchange Hungary or Turkey or both for Sweden if necessary. NATO is a military alliance of liberal democracies pursuing peace, happiness, and prosperity for their citizens and the rest of the world. Sweden is closely aligned with our values.
NATO is not an alliance for Putin-loving dictators or autocrats. It appears some of these countries may have joined the wrong club. Perhaps we should give these countries some time off to rethink their position. If they decide NATO is the right club for them, they can reapply for membership and ask Sweden for their permission to rejoin during the accession process."
