The Problem With Ireland's Neutrality

🇮🇪 We have learned from Russia's attack on Ukraine, that if Ireland is attacked by Russia or any other nuclear power, the USA can not help them like we have done for European countries in a pre-nuclear age. We can't liberate them. We can't go to war with another nuclear power unless that nuclear power attacks the USA or NATO territory first. If Ireland is attacked, none of the NATO powers will be able to liberate them, which is almost the entire European continent - every single one of Ireland's neighbors. Ireland will have to face Russia all alone like Ukraine. There is absolutely no way Ireland will be able to defend themselves alone against Russia. It's because of Ireland's strategic location in the Atlantic, their inability to defend themselves, and because the USA's and Europe's hands will be tied from assisting them, that Russia is very likely to attack Ireland if they get the opportunity to do so. Joining NATO is the only way to ensure that Russia does not. We love Ireland, and we really wish they would play it safe by eliminating the possibility of an attack now before it happens, because there will be nothing we can do once it does happen.
Ignoring these threats is pure stupidity and a dereliction of duties to the Irish people. The role of government is to protect their citizens, to ensure their security and safety. The only people with hidden agendas are the ones refusing to make the security of their citizens the top priority. Intelligent people do not need to hide their agenda. They can be completely transparent because their agenda and their arguments are based on facts, reality, and reason. Americans biggest concern is the security of the Irish people, and preventing the same humanitarian crisis we see unfolding in Ukraine from happening in Ireland or elsewhere in Europe. Anyone claiming we have any other motive is a fool. Has the Irish government even considered what they would do if Ireland is attacked? Do they have a strategy? Do they have any kind of plan at all? All they are discussing thus far are undersea cables and pipelines. That is a real concern, but that is not the biggest concern with an aggressive nuclear power on the European continent conducting military naval exercises right off the coast of the island.
