US-Ukraine Alliance

🇺🇦 Americans want a mutual defense treaty with Ukraine, exactly like we have with our other non-NATO allies. We signed a mutual defense treaty with Korea, even though they are in a conflict with a nuclear power, and we want the US government to do the same for Ukraine. Ukraine will still have the opportunity to join NATO, but we want their security guaranteed immediately via a mutual defense treaty. We will elect the candidate that promises to get that done if this administration does not.

We're tired of the incompetence of the current administration to sufficiently arm Ukraine, so that Ukraine could be successful on the battlefield. Ukraine still needs long range missiles. Ukraine still needs fighter jets. Ukraine had to start a counteroffensive without these weapons. These weapons would have ensured their immediate success on the battlefield, which the Biden Administration claims is necessary for continued US support. Ukraine is succeeding thanks to their own determination and brilliance, but their success is much more difficult without the weapons they have repeatedly asked for. This administration has dragged their feet along with Germany's Scholz throughout this entire conflict - exactly the way Obama did in 2014 along with Merkel. The administration's refusal to make decisions in a timely manner despite the urgency of the situation have only helped Russia and hurt Ukraine. The president seems to think he has all of the time in the world to mull over tanks and fighter jets while Ukrainians are dying and trying to save their homeland. I'm not sure if any of these decisions would have ever been made if it wasn't for the repeated insistence and intervention of the US Congress.

Perhaps Russia will implode - it came close over the weekend. I'm not sure how it will affect this conflict. If Russia implodes will the Russian troops put down their weapons and leave Ukraine? Will they disband out of confusion and chaos? Until Russia retreats from all of Ukrainian territory, we demand that the Biden Administration prioritizes Ukraine's needs. We want to give Ukraine everything they need to win the war, we want to invite Ukraine to join NATO at the NATO summit, and we want to present Ukraine with a mutual defense treaty, all by July 11. Get it done.
