Sweden-NATO Relations

🇸🇪 Sweden is joining NATO on July 11, 2023. Any NATO member that opposes it will cease to be a NATO member. There is no legitimate reason to oppose Sweden's NATO membership, and we expect the Biden Administration to make that clear to both of the NATO members that currently do. The administration's inability to get this accomplished is another sign of incompetence. This task was one of the easiest tasks on the US foreign policy agenda, and the Biden Administration has allowed the President of Turkey, a hot-headed idiot, to derail progress on this while he attempts to erode our fundamental human right to free speech. That is unacceptable. Autocrats require a heavy hand and we expect the president to use one when necessary. They need to learn how to deal effectively with these autocrats without sacrificing any of our values. They have not shown us that they are capable of doing that.
