LNG Gas Exports

🇺🇸 Americans will absolutely not support the administration's proposal to limit gas exports. If Europe feels threatened by anything, it would be an administration that plans to limit their natural gas supply. That would be the worst possible move the administration could make right now based on the current state of world affairs. It would really hurt European countries, especially Germany. According to John Kerry, the former US climate envoy, and the US Energy Information Administration, natural gas is clean energy. Now is not the time to limit gas exports.

We are requesting new legislation that makes it illegal to limit gas exports while our allies in Europe and elsewhere are dependent on those exports for their energy security. Europe and our other allies are investing in renewable energy. Once they are capable of meeting their energy needs through renewables and other clean energy sources, the USA can limit gas exports, but not until then.

Americans want a smooth clean energy transition, and we want the same for friends and allies as well.

Update: The current administration claims they need to "take a breath" on natural gas exports. That's the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard of. There is no valid reason to limit gas exports while the demand for those exports exists. They clearly are doing this because they believe it will score some votes from environmentalists. But the reality is that many Independents will swing the other way over this issue. They will lose as many votes as they gain, more likely they will have a net loss over this decision. The only people that benefit from a limit on the USA's natural gas exports are our adversaries. We are starting to notice that this is a trend with this administration. They continue to create loopholes to allow Chinese imports from the Uyhghur region as well. They also invited Xi Jinping, the Chinese Stalin, to the USA to meet with the tech industry executives. Americans are tired of this stupidity. We will elect someone new.
