🇺🇦 We are making a new video artwork titled Slava Ukraini. This work will be a collection of video clips shared on social media by Ukrainian soldiers, mixed with speeches given by the Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, and edited by my friends in Hollywood, many of whom have won academy awards for their editing skills - they are the best in the industry. This work will be on view 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on a giant outdoor screen across the street from the Russian Diplomatic Mission in New York, New York, USA, and of course online. Every time the Russian agents look out of their window or exit the compound they will be confronted by President Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian military using US weapons to blow up Russian assets, and so will any guests they invite to their compound. We do not expect to generate any revenue from this project, but if we do, it will be donated to Ukraine. I am creating this work because my personal assistant in New York City has been stalked and approached by Russian agents on several occasions. She has also been attacked on several occasions since the stalking started, and I suspect Russian agents paid random hooligans to do it. They even stole her laptop and cell phone, which is probably a desperate attempt to collect more information about me. They may even believe she is me. Americans don't respond well to intimidation tactics. We're free to do whatever we want, and we will do whatever we want. Anyone attempting to intimidate us is only going to piss us off. This creative project is my way of telling Russia to fuck off.
If you don't believe such a thing is possible, read the following article. We will also be proposing new legislation like our European partners to restrict the movement of Russian nationals in the USA to keep Americans safe and secure and prevent Russians from violating our fundamental human rights. If we have to we will propose similar legislation for Chinese nationals or any other nationals from countries that dare to engage in transnational repression activities on US soil. xo
