The Indo-Pacific Treaty Organization (IPTO)

🇺🇸 "According to two EU diplomats, who spoke on condition of anonymity to speak more freely, there are no plans to extend risky assurances, such as an Article Five-type mutual defense guarantee, to their Asian allies and partners." This journalist can't even comprehend what an "Asian NATO" is apparently.
The EU would have nothing to do with the Indo-Pacific Treaty Organization (IPTO), often referred to as an Asian NATO, unless France wanted to join the organization. No country in Europe, other than France, would meet the requirement of being an Indo-Pacific nation.
There wouldn't be an extension of NATO's security umbrella to Asian nations. The Asian nations, who are already treaty allies of the USA, and are already protected by the USA's nuclear umbrella, would form a new security umbrella in the Indo-Pacific region, promising to protect each other with an Article Five-type mutual defense guarantee.
The USA and our Indo-Pacific allies would benefit significantly from this kind of agreement, instead of the bilateral defense agreements we currently have, which requires the USA to come to our allies defense, but does not require our allies in the region to defend each other. With an Indo-Pacific Treaty Organization, each country would become more proactive in the security of the entire region. IPTO creates a more organized security architecture in the Indo-Pacific so that the USA can more easily fulfill its treaty obligations in the region. IPTO does not create any new obligations for the USA, unless we were to decide to add new members at a later time. This organization would simply ensure that the USA can meet all of its obligations, and that our friends and allies in the Indo-Pacific remain safe and secure.
"India, which is a key counterweight to China in the Indo-Pacific region, is vehemently opposed to "group defensive alliances."" India is a neutral country. India is not a treaty ally of the USA. How the USA and our treaty allies choose to organize our security architecture is not for India to comment on. The USA will organize alliances in the most optimal way for us to meet our defense and security needs. A neutral country like India has no say in the matter. Besides, India is a member of BRICS, so they are clearly working against the USA on some issues. India is a potential ally, whom the USA actively courts, who cooperates with the USA on some issues like the QUAD, but works against the USA on others like BRICS. India is not our ally.
IPTO is on the horizon, whether China or anyone else likes it or not. The only reason any country would oppose it is because the organization would keep the USA and our allies more secure. China, Russia and North Korea are the security threats, while India hopes to use those threats to their advantage. If you are not a threat to the USA or our allies, you have no reason to worry about IPTO.
We intend to create a new treaty organization for each region of the world: Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific, while Europe, aka the North Atlantic, already exists. These organizations will fight terrorism in each region of the world, prevent regional conflicts from becoming global conflicts, and defend the interests of the USA and our friends.
