US-France Relations

🇺🇸🇫🇷 Thank you for standing up for Ukraine. France is the only nuclear power in both the EU and NATO, so France must take the lead on European defense and security.
We wish for France to cultivate the best relationship they can with the new US administration, but please do not waste anymore time getting Europe's house in order. We wish for France to be prepared with a counter settlement and strategy for Ukraine in case President Trump's team presents an unfair peace deal.
We recommend that France creates a new security umbrellas for Europe, to ensure all of Europe remains protected, and provide security guarantees for the entire continent. France should increase their defense spending along with the rest of Europe. Europe should switch to a wartime economy. How Europe spends their defense budgets is for Europeans to decide.
We recommend changing the definition of defense spending. Weapons and military salaries are definitely defense spending, and Europe needs to increase the size of their armies, and accumulate more weapons, but in the modern age of warfare, so many other types of investments should also be considered defense spending as well. Securing your borders, infrastructure to move armies, investments in AI, investments in emerging tech, investments in space technology, investments in critical minerals, and investments in energy security are all investments in national security or European security, and therefore, should be considered a part of defense spending.
Finally we recommend kicking Hungary and Slovakia out of the EU and NATO. They are clearly an enemy, not an ally. There must be a way to pause membership or expel a member from these organizations if they become aligned with our enemies, and we need to set an example with Hungary and Slovakia.
I am not sure what the current administration's position is on European security to be honest, but I think some of Trump's angst may be related to Israel and Israel-Europe relations. The USA and Europe are not aligned on Israel and Middle Eastern affairs, and that may be the true heart of the problem.
