2025.7.22 相对时间观 solution to time poverty

退休20天后的第一感受:没人嫌我快,也没人嫌我慢,啊我终于成为了自己的主人 i.e. 拥有自己的时间表。

理想状态:舍弃一切换回属于自己的love & peace.

Cassie Holmes' research and book reveal the methods to control your happiness. She introduces me the concept of 'time poventy'. Even though technology and conveniences save us time, we still feel stretched thin. After all, we’re bogged down by overflowing inboxes, endless to-do lists, personal obligations, and that constant pressure to do more with less time.

A few tips/solutions (work in progress...):

  • 'price' your hour: tasks / time / who is in the best position to take it. SHOULD I TAKE ACTION? YES / NO?
  • create and defend your 'free' time: not directly linked to 'production' (i.e. serving somebody else' dream)
  • use the power of compounding, create your snowball
  • buy back your attention, eliminate distractions via decluttering
  • record time sheet (activity, timeslot, feeling, outcome)
  • do harder things first, create habit tracker to make them easier (autopilot mode)
  • use time to exchange money, at some point, then use money to exchange time
