Eva's Journey of Spirit and Hope
November 26, 2024•250 words
Yonder skies, the winter calls,
a blanket thick with silver mist,
unseen paths lie yet ahead,
guiding me to places kissed.
Over snow-clad hills I tread,
quiet echoes softly fall,
gone are days of golden hues,
open fields are pale and small.
Glistening stars above me wait,
old hopes linger in the breeze,
gentle whispers find their way,
into nights that bring me peace.
Overhead, the clouds drift on,
trees stand bare but strong and tall,
glimpses of a bright tomorrow,
rekindle warmth amidst it all.
Golden memories keep me close,
inward warmth ignites the fire,
rising from the frosted earth,
love becomes my own desire.
In the quiet, paths still form,
directions change, the road is steep,
reasons come and reasons go,
in my heart I trust and leap.
Rising sun will meet my eyes,
letting hope once more revive,
glowing gently in the dark,
even through the longest night.
Lost I may be, yet I find,
every breath brings something new,
running towards the unknown road,
venturing forth, I chase the blue.
Every season brings its change,
valleys freeze, and rivers slow,
awaiting spring that waits unseen,
to melt away the winter's woe.
Voices carry over snow,
in the chill, there's warmth I keep,
and through the ice that holds me still,
new dreams drift in, and dare to leap.
Across the white, I feel a spark,
vivid traces light my way,
all I need is found within,
to guide me through the coldest days.
