The Gift of Consciousness

With our existence, we have been given a gift of consciousness. This gift is so precious that one can create any story one wants to make. This power gives way to connecting with other conscious fellow beings, and thus they collectively write a bigger story. It is true that all stories cannot have to be joyful or miserable. We as humans have come so far that with this gift we unravel the big mystery of this unknowable universe. It has enabled us to think and make a choice.

Choices are not really choices; they are bound by constraints like society & fears. Our consciousness can make us go against our human nature. And look at this hypocrisy: conscious beings judging other conscious beings. While the consciousness differs in every being, and so we think differently, collectively it's just the same. It's all the same story: good vs. evil, light vs. dark. Doesn't matter if it's a fight against slavery, government, rebellion, or our own- selves.

Every one of us is fighting for something that is created by this consciousness. We are damned to live on ways made by other conscious beings. Even if we make newer constraints, I mean the fundamental constraints of humans are food & sex. while we as humans have made many other constraints like money & status.

There are people trying to find the meaning of this existence, but why does this consciousness exist? Existence can be meaningless, but why this gift is given to us. Why didn't they give to other animals? Why us?

The ultimate freedom lies in letting go of this consciousness, which we cannot do. So, we shall wait for death to make us free.
