SESSION 2

Stepping out from the portal, We The Bois found themselves dizzy and disorientated in an unfamiliar realm. A booming voice shakes the party back into reality; the demonic master of the realm was displeased by the party's trespass. Demonic elementals apparated in front of the party filled and the party drew their arms ready for confrontation. An earth elemental was backed up by two fire elementals ahead of them, guarding a foggy route that led further into the planes.

Well seasoned from their previous battle experience, the party knew what to do. Vin rushed to the right, enabling Xin to surprise the earth elemental's exposed flank. Ais and Jeff teamed up to finish off the left. In quick succession, the elementals were cleared, and Xin walked through the fog to reveal a plane brimming with reinforcements.

Vin stepped forward to finish one of the hostile earth elemental. However, the act drew the attention of the elementals. Viewing Vin as a major threat, the 3 remaining elementals closed in to neutralise the vermling. Two evasive manoeuvre by Vin exhausted it, and the third hit left Vin in critical health. Chugging a stamina potion, Vin retreated to recover.

Jeff carried out some rudimentary healing to the wounded Vin, and confronted the remaining elementals with Ais. Jeff readies his flamethrower and swept the area, softening the three grouped up elementals. Ais followed up with an icy blast, finishing off the elementals.

Xin heads forwad to scout ahead, and faces down 2 earth elementals and 2 fire elementals. He takes down an isolated earth elemental, but the remaining hostiles soon grouped up too closely for Xin to engage them in isolation. The remaining party moved forward to support him. Jeff and Ais each took turn to heal the wounded vermling hobbling ahead.

Recovered from the injuries, Vin stepped in to switch with Xin. Vin's first strike finishes off an earth elemental Xin engaged earlier. A second hit on the adjacent fire elemental caught it off guard, finishing the elemental in a single hit. Nevetheless, the heavy toil of battle wears Vin down, and it collapses in over-exertion.

Faced with the urgency to secure the area quickly, Ais took aim at the final elemental with his trusty crossbow. The shot landed true, enabling the party to clear the area of hostiles. We The Bois had cleared the Planes, but barely.

The demonic voice boomed again, impressed by the party's abilities. He offers the party a quest to retrieve an artifact for him, or face his immediate wrath.

Considering the party's ragged state and Vin's exhaustion, the party decided to take up the voice's offer. The party headed back to Gloomhaven for resupply.

Returning back to town, We The Bois returned to their notorious theiving ways, pickpocketing townsmen of their gold. Using the gold stashed away, the party members splurged on the Gloomhaven store, expecting even harder battles ahead.

Unwilling to aid the demons, the party decided to seek the power of the artifact from the Temple of Elements as a means to confront the demonic overlord.

SESSION ONE

The party We The Bois was established with a group of hungry, scrappy mecrenaries. Vin the Mindthief, Xin the Scoundrel, Ais the Spellweaver and Jeff the Tinkerer came together to do some odd jobs to earn their keep.

The adventure began along the road to Black Barrowed. We The Bois encountered a lightly armoured caravan. Without hesitation or whatsoever, the group lunged at the hapless guards. It was at this moment that the party knew that their reputation mattered little for a tad more gold.

Fresh from their looting session, We The Bois entered Black Barrowed haughtily. The group was humbled as Xin rushed too far in and was slain by the combined volley of 3 archers. Vin quickly found itself flanked after moving in for revenge. The remaining members Jeff and Ais decided to retreat and regroup.

The defeated party limped back to Gloomhaven to restock their supplies. The zest to acquire equipment for another plunge at Black Barrowed led to Vin purchasing a piece of scrap metal for 10 gold thinking it was a rare artifact.

Nonetheless, We The Bois re-entered Black Barrowed, and with their newfound experience, and improved team coordination, easily cleared the dungeon. The party descended down to the Barrow Lair.

We The Bois found themselves face to face with three bandit archers locked onto them, but they deftly finished them off. The party then entered what seemed to be a tomb. At the far end was a burly looking Bandit Commander flanked by two archer guards displeased by the party's trespass.

Through Jeff's effort to pull the Bandit Commander away from his archer guards, Xin was able to isolate and deal massive damage. In what was supposed to be a coup de grace turned to two successive gaffaws as Xin and Vin both stumbled on their killing blow. Nonetheless, the party swiftly defeated the boss before he could open up doors in the lair. This prevented reinforcements that would have dragged out the fight. The party earned the achievement First Steps for their victory.

Ruffling through the scrolls in the lair, We The Boys discovered Crypt of the Damned.

Back in the city, celebration was abound. The commisssion of fancy water fountain in Gloomhaven attracted crowds to the city square. We The Bois had little appetite for parties. What they saw was opportunity -- opportunity in stealing money from dumb shopkeepers who left their shops unguarded. Running away scot free, Ais quibbed, "Nice guys finish last."

The party turned in the quest to retrieve the scrolls, and turned down a new job offered. The party preferred to check the location of the crypts they had discovered from the lair. This was egged on by Xin, who was very excited about exploring the crypts.

The party left for the Crypts and fought a bear along the way to assert their dominance. They were rewarded with a war scar from their wrestle that Jeff had to heal when they entered the crypts.

In the crypts, the party discovered the atrocities of the cultists. We The Bois decided to disrupt more of their work, despite Xin's questionable sympathies to the cultists.

Back in the city, the party was offered a quest to hold a heist and was well rewarded for their efforts. The horrendous reputation of the party only led to more riches. The experience only reinforced the party's commitment to become nefarious outlaws of Gloomhaven.

The party travelled to Ruinous Crypts, and on the way they succumbed to gluttony. The party ate wildberries despite Jeff's warnings. The sweet juicy fruits quickly led to vomitting. Jeff had to deal with the party's poor life choices once again.

Entering Ruinous Crypts, the party found themselves not just poisoned but also disarmed. To buy time for the team to recover, Vin mind controlled a cultist, turning it to a punching bag for the surrounding enemies. The team took the commotion formed to recover.

Ais performed some dubious acrobatics jumping over traps to open a door, putting himself between traps and a room full of fire demons and spooky skeletons. It worked out in the end with his piercing bow destroying the fragile elementals that relied on shields rather than raw health.

After clearing the crypts, a portal emerged from the altar. We The Bois resolved to enter Plane of the Elemental Power to further disrupt the Cultist's plot.
