DAY028: BASIC OF DOMAIN NAMES P3
June 6, 2025•531 words
so okay, im almost finished, if ur wondering of what, check my previous blog of my daily blog series of #the121, and this blog is next part of previous one, lets begin
...many others do it, there are also many popular subdomains like it.com selling them on official domain sellers site, even sometimes thry considered as tld, which they actually not
https://www.sub.domain.com/d1/d2/...
well the next part we're gonna talk about us the part after domain name, the part with "/" before them, like in this case "/d1/d2/...", here u can add as many as u can and any word u can incuding numbers but the only allowed special character here is also same as sub domains parts, only "-" allowed, while in subdomains u cant add too much sub parts before main domain, only 2, or 3 recomended, its not a case here
this are called page paths or just path, and u can add much sub path as u needed, but ur hosting provider which u providing ur hosting have to permitted u for this path creations
talking more about domains, getting free domain is not an option at the moment, but getting sub domain for free surpriseingly easy, even some companies offer subdomains for totally free with their free hosting service combined, yeah its completely unbelieveable at first hearing for those who have already spent money and time finding perfect domain which is still not free
and i thought most popular tlds are very expensive like .com or .org, while their not, like this two are budget freindly on market
domain prices varies mainly on tlds, as some tld has higher value than others, like .co has more value .com domains, but the thing that also matters too much is priority words or collection of words, most popular word combination have more price than less popular ones, and length is also a factor, cs short one have higher price than long ones, but this is only ture for short words with less than 4 or 5 letters, and one letter ones are most expensive cs most of them cost more than millions
while talking abt tld, theres only one topic left now & that is cctld or country code tld, this are tlds which are used by country goverments mostly for govermential wotks & sites, and most of them are 2 charecter long, but general public can still use them which is not a good idea at all, as i can say cs im using one rn, and i didnt even known that at the moment i bought it, im gonna change to another domain this year, since its only been a year for my first domain purchase which i didnt even used too much, but it was cheap so no problem, only 5$ at that moment, and i dont know why but most cctlds are actually do cheap, i thought they would high cost, but there not, some cctlds are .us (for US), .uk (for UK), .de (for Germany, .ca (for canada), ... etc
thats it for this series, im ending this domain name basic series, have any questions, connect me on my socials
have a better life...
