This nail-biting crime drama revolves around three childhood friends. They get separated when they grow up. But one unique event brings all of them together: the death of a young girl. One of them is the girl's father, the second one is the prime suspect in the murder, and the third is the police inspector investigating the case.

There is no action in this movie, but the thrill and suspense keeps you at the edge of your seat. The message this movie gives is unique and a taboo topic in most cultures, and it's undeniably one of the finest movies directed by Clint Eastwood.

I liked the movie throughout, except for the end. I mean, the end could have been better. But the emotion that this film underlies is unique, and that emotion is what that makes this movie so unique.

In a way, it is related to Sleepers (1996) staring Robert De Niro. That is, childhood mistakes or traumas don't leave us but follow us the whole life.
