Passage: Ephesians 1
(H) Highlight
- [18] having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
(E) Explain
- We are chosen, we are called, we are predestined, we have had the eyes of our hearts enlightened - not by us but by the Father himself. Because of this we may know of this HOPE, of this glorious INHERITANCE for all the saints, for those called to the gift of faith and salvation in Jesus. This inheritance is rich.
(A) Apply
- Right now as I write this I am amazed. I’m overcome with emotion and gratitude and wonder. I don’t know how this works, but I’m grateful of His grace and mercy in my life. I suppose that’s it … I am amazed and grateful. Must share because it’s not only about me, but about others. It’s about those who believe and about those who will soon to believe.
(R) Respond
- Tears of gratitude. I love you Lord. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

- Good, grief, where do we start!!!
- Just a few verses in I started to weep a bit. This is rare, this doesn’t happen too often. I am so grateful, so astonished, so blessed, so unbelievably thankful for this choosing.
