The comfort of silence

Contemplating suicide is a sign of declining mental health. That's usually the case.
But I would argue that once we are faced with the details of our society's working throughout history, it is only natural to ask ourselves if the world will be better off without us.
If you are reading this, chances are that you come from one of the countries in the western block, which have build their wealth and power on exploitation. How can we, as their citizens, shrug off that responsibility towards the past (and current) events?
Our existence, our merely consumption of resources fuels global inequality.
But you mean no harm, you'd never advocate for war or unfair trade deals. But those cheap products sure look convenient. This affordable food tastes delicious.
Where do they come from? How are they made?
Not our responsibility, not my fault.
We picture a society filled with wicked motives, we systematically shift the blame on a higher level, with this sole truth in mind: "I'm just trying to enjoy life, I have no say in none of this".
