How does this work?

I write these posts as notes in Standard Notes, which is:

A safe place for your notes, thoughts, and life's work.

Standard Notes is unabashedly unapologetic about being all about longevity; something fairly rare these days. There might not be all the bells and whistles of other note taking programs, but it's rock solid, got what you need, and you can use it on Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android or the web.

When I want to publish a blog post, I add some metadata like the following at the top of a plain text markdown file that I have stored:

---
created_at: 2021-10-17T20:25:42+09:00
image_url: https://static.thesite.com/path/to/image.png
desc: Lorem ipsum
---

## Title

This is the text...

... then simply hit Publish from the Action menu on the post. Assuming you are set up as an author, it will then publish the post to your Listed.to blog. Everything except what you want to share, stays private and encrypted.

Check it out, it's a great platform for making notes and blogging.
