"New look, same great taste!"
You've seen that statement on every name-brand commodity consumable article at some point in the last twenty years. I remember seeing it first on Doritos in 2003.
This blog has been through so many iterations, and I'm ready to pick it up again. Here's why:
- I'm burning up with ideas, positively bursting with them, and I can't seem to find the right venue to explore them.
- Blogging has always helped me become more articulate with my ideas, to tear down and reconstruct them critically, and flesh them out.
- I don't want these ideas to expire. I know if I never write them down I will eventually forget them.
What are these aforementioned bursting ideas?
- There are so many words bound up in this first one: urbanism, human habitat, private healthcare that beats public at both access and results, Jacobs-ian economy of cities, whole-person nourishment and urban farming. At the moment, I'll call this first idea human socio-ecology, you'll find out why in a minute.
- Ecological restoration as a response to both Climate orthodoxy and denier culture.
- Yes, it's too obvious where that's going. Next, the synergy of human socio- and natural ecologies. And, the logical question follows: was this our originally ordained purpose as humans? If yes, is there any benefit to pursuing it so long after we've left off doing it? Incidentally, is there anyone who hasn't left off doing it or is at least ahead of me in restarting it?
- What is "it" exactly, and how do we do "it?"
- Do you like bulleted lists?
I think that will keep me busy for at least a few years.
