I AM GOING TO LAY AN IMPORTANT FOUNDATION FIRST, BECAUSE THIS IS CRITICAL, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCLUSIONS OF WHAT I FIRMLY BELIEVE IS SCRIPTURAL PROOF. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT TOPIC AND CANNOT BE TAKEN LIKELY. IT IS NO SMALL MATTER TO DISQUALIFY ONE OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS! NOT SOMETHING GOD THE FATHER, WILL TAKE LIGHTLY. IN FACT YAHUSHUA EXPRESSES A CLEAR JUDGEMENT FOR ANY WHO DO THIS, IN THE NEW TESTAMENT!
None of us should be foolish enough to stand before God on that day and say, please accept me in your heaven, because I kept your law!
- It is by grace and grace alone that we are saved.
- It is by grace and grace alone that we receive the Spirit of our Messiah, who gives us the power to become the sons of God.
But many who say they believe in Him and the scriptures, remain prodigals, making excuses for sin and even wallowing in the mire, and some, because of this, are near to being cursed, as even i believe I was at one point, even as a believer. Because of this, I judge no one. By that I mean I do not pre-judge, so as to condemn anyone. The judge is Yahushua, the man who was tempted, as we all are, but without sin. He kept the Torah of His and our Father, perfectly to become our Saviour. And in Him our Father is well pleased, and has given Him all authority in heaven and on earth. He alone, who is one with the father is worthy to judge and to condemn. The worst words any so called believer will ever hear is likely:
Mat 7:23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
G458 (Strong)
ἀνομία
anomia
an-om-ee'-ah
From G459; illegality, that is, violation of law or (generally) wickedness: - iniquity, X transgress (-ion of) the law, unrighteousness.
Ah, but we are not under the law, they say. But clearly from the above, some will be under the condemnation of God for failing to respect His law! I mean He is not saying to them: Depart from me, because I do not know you, because you did not believe in me. He says because you were lawless. As James also says:
Jam 2_17-19
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
It is only by the Spirit of Yahushua in us that we can become sons of God, and become pleasing to Him. And most know that the only way to please God is by faith. But I truly believe the scripture is talking about a faith that overcomes. Just consider the letters to the churches in the first few chapters of the book of Revelation. These words are repeated at the end of almost every letter, after their sins are pointed out. "To him who overcomes ..." For example:
Rev 2:7 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God." '
It seems clear from the above, that the opposite is likely true. You do not get to eat of the tree of life, of you do not overcome?
What must be overcome?
ANSWER: The sin that so easily ensnares us
Heb 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
WHAT IS SIN?
ANSWER: Sin is the transgression of the law.
JOHN:
1 Jn 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure
1 Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1 Jn 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1 Jn 3:16 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
PAUL:
Rom 4:14 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
When Paul precedes this verse with:
Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Paul is not saying you are positionally righteous, so now you can transgress the law.
He is saying, you will now not transgress the law, by Faith, that is the righteousness of faith. The same way Abraham was credited righteousness by being obedient, because of His faith. And now we actually are meant to live by the faith of the Son of God, who has written the law on our hearts. We are nowhere told we can pick and choose commandments They are all of God.
Who is pleased with a Son that is permanently or habitually disobedient?
Yet we know that it is certainly not the letter of the law that saves us. In fact we hear that the letter condemns all. For all have sinned against it, and it has no heart to redeem us. But our Father and saviour, do have a heart to redeems us. So I am in no way trying to advocate salvation by works, without faith in His mercy and even faith itself is a gift of God. Faith without any works, however coud result in damnation, but from Yeshuah's own words, it is safer to beat one's breast that to take pride in one's own righteousness. So how do we understand James above then, who says "I will show you my faith by my works"?
Jas 2:18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
It is to me like this:
- We know that in the flesh of man no good things dwells.
- But he who is born again is a new creation. The Holy Spirit enters the new creation. Yielding to the Holy / The Set Apart Spirit inside us, and seeking with our whole heart to please Him, we, the New Creation, grow from one degree of glory to to another. By faith we are forgiven and begin the process of sanctification and from then on we are to grow in our overcoming of sin more and more, even maturing, as a child grows into maturity. John teaches in his letters that we are to practice righteousness, and spells out that we should walk as He walked. Obviously we are not damned if we fail and get up with repentance. And if God permits, we can go on to perfection, as Hebrews 6 says. "Let us go on to perfection, if God permit".
Heb 6:1 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
Perfection is not about keeping the letter of the law. It goes beyond the letter. The high calling is the perfection of the Spirit of the Law. God seeks those who will worship him in Spirit and in Truth. By the Spirit, the letter is written on our hearts and by the Spirit, we will not even look at a woman with lust, or call someone a moron, which is to Yahushua like murder. No wonder scripture says the fear of YHVH is the beginning of wisdom!
So I believe that people like these in the video you sent, are well meaning believers. They think they know the truth and are smart and right about it, but are actually deceived, and inadvertently are leading some astray. Though I do not think they are lawless, and they appear to love and declare their rest in their saviour, I sometimes wonder. Because I was there. I pray Yah forgive them and open their eyes. For when a loving Father says, this is a day that I want you to set apart, because I rested on this day (the significant first mention of the Sabbath in the scriptures), and I want you to rest and dedicate it to me, not doing your own pleasure on the 7th Day. Then because you love Him, and He has taken away the evil inclination of your old man by the Spirit, having placed within us His own Holy Spirit, what you read should becomes your desire. The word and the spirit do not contradict each other. Had our saviour not kept the Sabbath himself, He would not have been able to die for our sins! Sadly many do not read enough. We who love our Father should want to please Him, right? By the way, the punishment for not keeping one of the least aof his commandments, is not death, according to Yeshuah, but will result, according to Yeshua in being least in the Kingdom of heaven! In the old testament, not all commands carried the death penalty, but not keeping the Sabbath, was punishable by death. So it was up there with murder. Hardly a least commandment.
And this is the first commandment. That we should love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul and mind. And the 4th commandment, together with the three that preceded it, are the letter by which we can love our God.
So the second commandment that Yahushua gave us is like the first. That we love our neighbour as ourselves". He quotes the Torah when He tells us this, as found here.
Deu 6:5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
Deu 7:9 "Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;
The Ten Commandments, Sayings or Instructions, are further fleshed out in the other over 300 laws of the Torah.
All these help us to know how to love God and our neighbour as ourselves, even if they are only the letter of the law. Things like "Do not move your neighbour's landmark". "Do not lie with a woman and her daughter or during her menstrual period" etc. That would not be loving your neighbour as yourself, in the eyes of our Father or of Yahushua the Son. The Father and the Son are One in all of this. And we should be One with the Father and the Son! The Spirit inside us, if we have it, will indeed tells us these things, even without reading them, for they are on our heart. So "love is the principle thing", as Paul says. It is the Spirit of the Torah Laws that we receive when we are truly born again, as Yeshua is in our hearts. As we study to show ourselves approved, we should find agreement with His word that we read, and not contradict it.
If we fall we have an advocate with the Father, so we can get up and practice righteousness again. Righteousness will keep the law naturally, because sin is the transgression of the law! As sin is the transgression of the law, righteousness is the opposite, that is the upholding of and practicing of it. But by the Spirit it is written on our hearts. He who loves God and His neighbour as Himself, is then one who will be pleasing to his Father, and not one who needs chastising. What father will not chastise a disobedient child. And, according to scripture, Elohim will even scourge, if necessary, to save His children, from judgement in the end. He is a jealous God and He does not change.
We should be careful of falling into the trap of believing that grace is the opposite of the law. In fact the opposite of the law is actually lawlessness. And most of us who believe are certainly, even as new believers not altogether lawless. Early believers were told only to abastain from a few things and it pleased the Holy Spirit.
Act 15:29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.
They were in fact NOT told not to murder or steal. It must have been assumed that they knew most of these things to be unacceptabe and would discover other things over time, from the synagogues as they perhaps, and some certainly did, attend them on the sabbaths to learn more!
Act 15:20 but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood.
Act 15:21 For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath."
At very least this implies that those who had attended would help these new believers to learn more, and grow from glory to glory.
The first covenant God made with Israel could not save. In fact it could only condemn!
But the gift He gave us, in Messiah, is a renewed or rebuilt covenant (if you look at the Hebrew) and it is based on better promises, because Messiah in us is the Hope of Glory.
The word NEW according to Strong's Concordance...
H2319 (Strong)
חָדָשׁ
châdâsh
khaw-dawsh'
From H2318; new: - fresh, new thing.
But note the ROOT of the above word in the Hebrew:
H2318 (Strong)
חָדַשׁ
châdash
khaw-dash'
A primitive root; to be new; causatively to rebuild: - renew, repair.
Note also the similarity of the word and its root! Any who understood Hebrew would have understood this renewing or rebuilding aspect..
Jer 31:31 to Jer 31:33
"Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new (rebuilt) covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
This is Jeremiah speaking. This Prophet of the Hebrew Tenach, s clearly referencing the Torah Law which includes the ten commandments and includes the Sabbath Law, which we are even told to REMEMBER:
Exo 20:8 to 20:11
"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In ityou shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who iswithin your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Note this version of the commandment in Exodus 31, showing that not keeping it was punishable by death.
Exo 31:14 You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Exo 31:15 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Exo 31:16 Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
Exo 35:2 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.
Most of the ten are short. Thou shalt not murder etc. It is as if our Father knew this command would be one the enemy would seek to deceive us on early. There would be no reason to mention writing it on our hearts, if we could remove any of it! Yet that is exaclty the deception that would occur and DEATH would become the punishment for those KEEPING IT.
Mat 10:25 It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master.
Surely our saviour was trying to tell us something with these, His words of Spirit and Life!
Note also that in the book of Hebrews, "rest" is equated with "obedience". Consider also SHEMA OH ISRAEL. Hear and Obey.
Heb 4:3 For we who have believed do enter that rest,
Heb 4:11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
Fatih is shown above as having Works of Obedience and this is directly linked to true rest.
So when you tell people that we now rest every day, (even though we should rest in him every day, but at the same time tell them to be disobedient, in this case to the 4th commandment, who is right. The old God breathed word, which Yeshuah upheld, or the people whose clip your shared?
From Genesis through to Revelation we see patterns. God promises blessing for obedience to His commandments. The people agree, then fail to keep His commandment. They are then given consequences. They repent and God blesses them again. Do we really want to go around and around in the wilderness. Or do we want to press on to the high calling in Yeshua Messiah.
After writing the above I put this question into my browser:
When was the Saturday Sabbath moved to Sunday?
Immediately Ai accurately responded:
"The shift from observing the Saturday Sabbath to Sunday occurred gradually over time, with significant changes initiated by Emperor Constantine in A.D. 321, when he established Sunday as a day of rest. The Catholic Church later formalized this change at the Council of Laodicea around A.D. 364, which prohibited Sabbath observance on Saturday."
Further research will show you that this prohibition included financial punishment and later death to those who kept it. I think it is pretty clear why it virtually disappeared, together with many other practices, as the Popes moved away from anything Jewish, which the research of some has clearly revealed.
Remember also that the the manna was collected for 6 days only, and it would rot, if kept longer than a day. But on the 6th day they were to collect for two days and it would last for two days, so that they did not collect on th Sabbath. Also during that time a man collected firewood on the Sabbath and was put to death.
Just this passage alone should be real food for thought!
A thousand years as a day to God also points to the milleniums thousand years of rest, you guessed it, on the 7th day from God's point of view.
So that I hope lays a good foundation, for what I will now show you, more directly related to the clip you shared, and why I believe it is flawed, although I hope you can already see something of that.
DIRECT RESPONSE TO THE VIDEO
Consider some of these scriptures
This first is a little tongue in cheek, because I think the man is driving it anyway in the Video, but the woman is convincingly confident, even if deceived. But when it comes to scripture, I am personally convinced that woman are more prone to deception.
Who is also allowed to work on the Sabbath?
God. My Father works even to this day.
IS OUR SAVIOUR NOT "LORD OF THE SABBATH"?
IN SPITE OF THAT, TO FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS, AS A MAN, HE KEPT IT PERFECTLY FOR OUR SAKE.
AS LORD OF IT, HE DID NOT MAKE IT FOR HIS SAKE AND DOES NOT HAVE TO KEEP IT, FOR HE MADE IT FOR THE SAKE OF OUR FLESH THAT WE MAY REST OUR FELSH AND NOT DRIVE OUR SERVANTS WITHOUT A REST, AND IF WE ARE OBEDIENT WE WILL KEEP IT. MOREOVER THOSE, MANY HAVE DISCOVERED BENEFITS OF DOING SO EVEN IN THEIR HEALTH. DID YOU KNOW THAT BEAVERS REST ON SATURDAY, AS IF TAKING A SABBATH. JUST AN INTERESTING FACT.
WHEN YAHSHUAH HEALED ON THE SABBATH, HE WAS NOT BREAKING IT. HE WAS BREAKING SOMETIMES THE MAN MADE TRADITIONS, LIKE THE ONE THAT SAYS, YOU CAN MOVE IT TO SUNDAY!
NOT EVEN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH WOULD DISAGREE, THAT THERE IS NOT PLACE IN SCRIPTURE WHICH GIVES US THE LEGITIMATE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE SABBATH DAY FROM SATURDAY TO SUNDAY. THIS CAN SHOWN TO BE TRUE IN THEIR WRITINGS. I HAVE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. BUT THEY WOULD SAY, THAT IT IS THE POPES AUTHORITY ON EARTH THAT GIVES HIM THE RIGHT TO CHANGE IT AND PROTESTANTS SHOW HIS AUTHORITY BUT THE CHANGE OF DAY.
IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE THESE WORDS IN DANIEL AS THEY COULD APPLY, COULD'NT THEY:
Dan 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.
BUT THEN AGAIN SHE DOES SAY THAT EVERY DAY IS TO BE TREATED ALIKE, AS THE REST DAY.
So she clearly does not believe that she should give her flesh a rest ever, or any one else, who is maybe a servant, but does not know God. They should work seven days a week, and lower down even says we should all WORK IN HIS REST DAY AND NIGHT. IF YOU TAKE THIS TO ITS REDICULOUS CONCLUSION, YOU WOULD NOT HAVE CHURCH GATHERINGS EITHER, for all days are considered alike. WOULD THAT ALSO BE THE DESIRE OF OUR FATHER AND SON?
So in the New Covenant how do we keep the Sabbath?
We rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ?
WELL WE SHOULD REST IN HIS FINISHED WORK, BUT THAT WOULD NORMALLY MEAN TO REST BY HAVING FAITH AND DOING THE COMMANDMENTS IN OBEDIENCE, RATHER THAN DOING AWAY WITH ANY OF THE COMMANDMENTS.
And do we need a specific day for a Sabbath anymore?
No. And the new testament specifically says that
We dont need to esteem one day higher than the other
SO NOW WE HAVE NOT SET APART DAY, ACCORDING TO HER, EVEN FOR MEETINGS, WHETHER ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, OR KEEP ANY FESTIVALS. THOUGH IN THE GOD INSPIRED WORD IT SAYS THAT SOME DAYS LIKE PASSOVER ARE TO BE ESTEEMED VERY HIGHLY AND THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER YAHUSHUA ON SUCH A DAY AND IN FACT THE FEAST OF TABERNACKLES IS MENTIONED AS BEING A REQUIRED FEAST, EVEN IN THE MILLENIUM OF MESSIAH!
When the word speaks of not esteeming one day higher than another, it must be referring to something else, or the scripture to me would be conradicting itself.
NEVERTHELESS, LOOKING AT THE CONTEXT AND THE SCRIPTURE SHE QUOTES, IT DOES SEEM TO BE TRANSLATED CORRECTLY FROM THE GREEK.
SO, LET US TAKE THE TEXT
Rom 14:5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind
AS MEANING, SOME SEE THE SABBATH AS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANOTHER DAY, WHILE OTHERS SEE ALL DAYS AS A DAY OF REST.
IT IS DIFFICULT TO CONSIDER THIS AS BEING A THOUGH IN REGARDING NOT KEEPING THE SABBATH IN THE DAYS OF PAUL. BECAUSE EVEN POLYCARP WHO LIVED LONG AFTER PAUL AND WAS IN CHARGE OF ALL THE CONGREGATIONS HE LEFT BEHIND, SAID TO THE POPE, WE PREFER TO KEEP THE 14 DAYS. THIS RELATED TO PASSOVER AND THE MOVE TO EASTER. POLYCARM WANTED TO STAY TRUE TO THE TORAH AND COUND THE 14 DAYS FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE FIRST MONTH TO PASSOVER. (Polycarp, the Bishop of Smyrna, was martyred by being bound and burned at the stake, and when the fire did not consume him, he was stabbed to death. He refused to renounce his faith in Yahushua Messiah, which led to his execution around AD 155 at the hand of Rome.)
SO I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO THINK THAT AT THAT EARLY STAGE, THE CHURCHES OF PAUL WOULD BE SEEING THE SABBATH AS NORMAL A DAY AS ANY OTHER, SO THAT I MY VIEW. BUT I CANNOT PROVE THAT IT COULD NOT BE AS SHE SAYS. BUT NOWHERE IN SCRIPTURE DOES THAT PROVE THAT THE SABBATH IS IRRELEVANT, WHICH IS WHAT THIS VIDEO WAS ALL ABOUT! IN FACT THE WEIGHT OF PROOF IS REALLY AFFIRMING IT AS A PRACTICE IN THE EARLY CHURCH. MOREOVER, IF THIS IS USED AS A PROOF SHE NEEDS TWO OR THREE WITNESSES.
What are Christians resting in then?
We are resting in what Christ has done for us.
We are resting in His work
He is our rest
And we should be resting in Him 24/7
Our Sabbath is every day
because we no longer carry our burdens
We dont have to work anymore
We are not under the law anymore
We are free indeed
We are free indeed
We are free
We are Priests serving and living for the living God every single day all the time day and night
I DO NOT DISAGREE WITH MOST OF THE ABOVE, EXCEPT THAT RESTING ON THE SABBATH AND RESTING IN MESSIAH'S WORK ARE REALLY TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. ONE IS FOR THE SAKE OF THE FLESH AS I HAVE MENTIONED, AND THE OTHER IS ABOUT FAITH, THAT RESTS IN THE SPIRIT REGARDING OVERCOMING, NOT FEARING, NOT HAVE ANXIETY ETC. SHE IS CONFUSING TWO FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT CONCEPTS.
So we don't need to work for our salvation anymore we don't need to earn anything?
All we have to do is rest in Christs work
It is finished
I HAVE REALLY COVERED THIS IN THE FOUNDATION I LAID INITIALLY. IT IS FINISHED, BUT THIS MEANS THAT HE HAS PAID THE PRICE FOR US NOT TO BE CONDEMNED BY THE LAW, AND TO BE MADE WORTHY TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHO WE HAVE CLEAR PROOF, WILL WRITE IT ON OUR HEARTS! NOT REMOVE ANY OF IT!
THINK ABOUT THAT.
So why do we have to keep all the other ten commandments but not the 4th Commandment?
Because Jesus Christ fulfilled the Sabbath and we live out the Sabbath now every single day.
HER ARGUMENT IS FLAWED. HE FULFILLED ALL THE COMMANDMENTS, SO DOES THAT MEAN WE DON'T NEED TO OBEY ALL OF THEM. "DO WHAT THOU WILT", IS THE LAW OF THE SATANIC BIBLE!
ALSO AGAIN, SHE IS CONFUSING THE SABBATH OF THE FLESH AND THE RESTING IN THE FINISHED WORK. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.
So groups like 7th Day Adventists and Torah Movement who say you really need to keep the Sabbath on Saturday. Why are they wrong?
Because they are trying to bring people back under the law
And We are free from the law.
Jesus Christ fulfilled the law
We are not doing away with the law
It is fulfilled in the perfect work of Jesus Christ.
HERE SHE IS STATING THAT WE ARE NOT DOING AWAY WITH THE LAW, YET SHE IS CONTRADICTING HERSELF AND CALLING THE BOOK OF JAMES IN THE BIBLE FLAWED BY IMPLICATION. BECAUSE JAMES SAYS: IF YOU BREAK ANY ONE OF THE COMMANDMENTS, ARE YOU NOT GUILTY OF BREAKING THEM ALL.
I AGREE THAT WE ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, IN THAT WE ARE NOT CONDEMNED BY IT ANYMORE, BUT I DO NOT AGREE THAT THIS MEANS THAT WE ARE NOT MEANT TO KEEP ALL THE COMMANDMENT BY THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE RESULT OF THE PERFECT WORK OF YESHUA MESSIAH ON THE CROSS. IT IS FINISHED. THE BATTLE AGAINST SIN HAS FINALLY BEEN WON. AND EVEN IF WE FAIL AND FALL, AS ALL MEN DO, IF WE KEEP GETTING UP TO PRACTICE RIGHTEOUSNESS AGAIN, WHICH WE HAVE ESTABLISHED ABOVE, IS THE KEEPING OF THE LAW, THAT IS ALSO NOW WRITTEN ON OUR HEARTS, THEN HE WILL FAITFULLY GET US TO THE OTHER SIDE, WHEN WE WILL PUT ON IMMORTALITY.
You cannot work from the end of the book backwards and hope to understand the end of the book.
CONSIDER THESE WORDS THAT ARE WRITTEN ABOUT THE SO CALLED OLD TESTAMENT
2Tim 3:16-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
THERE WAS NOT NEW TESTAMENT AT THE TIME. CONSIDER DOING AWAY WITH THE SABBATH OR ANY COMMANDMENT OF THE OLD TESTAMENT IF PAUL'S INSTRUTION AT THE TIME WAS TRUE!
The words of Yahushua:
Heb 10:7
THEN I SAID, 'BEHOLD, I HAVE COME—IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME—TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.' "
What Volume? The whole of the Tenakh / "Old Testament, surely. He is quite possibly on every page. I have certainly watched people reveal him all over the Torah or Moses and He is certainly the one to come, likened to Moses by the prophets and most believers know Isaiah 53 etc.
Speaking of Paul, Peter says:
2Pet 3:16
as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
What scriptures is he referring to? Again the only scripture available at the time: The "Old Testament" And it seems very clear to me, that such a man and woman have not studied the Torah much at all, to come to the conclusions they come to. They think being obedient to God's laws mean to be under them instead of under grace, when it is the grace that enables us to come out of Egypt and Sin. We are free indeed of SLAVERY TO SIN. To steal, commit adultery etc.
To me, these kinds of videos, show how successful the devil has been in deceiving God's people.
Paul also says to the Bereans:
Acts 17:11
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Paul is commending those who tested his words against the "Old Testament"
I am not saying the new testament is not scripture. I believe it is equally God breathed, but one cannot have the New Testament to disagree with the its foundation, and it does not, unless "unlearned and unstable " (KJV) or "untaught and unstable people" (NKJV) twist what Paul says! The end of that is what we now have, multiple denominations, and precious little unity, and everyone says they are "blessed" but are often suffering or terminally ill at the same time. They are not under law but under grace, yet they call the doctors, even before or if ever the elders to pray for the sick, as even the new testament instructs.
Our saviour, of whom Paul says "Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"
says the following:
Mat 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
Mat 5:18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
The leaven of the Pharisees was that they taught the doctrines of men and mixed these in with the words of Elohim in scripture.
Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
So what is the righteousness that Yahushua speaks of above that must exceed that of the pharisees?
John defines sin as the transgression of the law: SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW.
1 Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Yahushua the Messiah, kept the law. The anti-messiah will look good in the eyes of the people of many churches, but he will at the same time be the "LAWLESS ONE"!
So Yahushua says of the Pharisees sitting in Moses seat, a time when they were not allowed to give commentary but just read Moses:
Mat 23:2-3
saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.
Yahushua also said
Jhn 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
So, surely we must agree that our Saviour, Paul and John (three witnesses) all agree that the commandment found in the "Old Testament" is good and is not to be done away with. If we want to be disciples of Yahushua, we must follow his example:
THE INSPIRED LAW OF MOSES SAYS:
Deu 12:32 "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
Are these not "God breathed" words of our Father in heaven?
Yet this young man and perhaps his wife, glibly feel they have the right to subtract one of the commandments Yahushua kept without sin of transgressing the law, in order to save them. They shall certainly be "least in the kingdom of heaven" according to Yahushua! Though perhaps they will repent (change their minds) during the tribulation:
Rev 7:14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
I pray that neither they, nor you or I, will have to go through that to make us wash our robes in His blood and walk in His ways as a result.
Now your response would be appreciated. Obviously I do not expect this detail. I just pray that you will give this the attention in deserves. For if I speak of my own, it is nothing, but if I lay before you His word, then you are not at liberty to ignore it.
Well this is the best I can do, and I hope it is enough to persuade you. But even if we are persuaded in our own minds, it does not mean we will be accepted.
I end with this.
Mat 7:22-23
Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
Does it get any clearer than that!
