Paradox Live Dope Show 2024

This year the stream was on Zaiko platform (ref). Each session cost ¥3500 with ¥135 fee and an additional 3% charge added when using credit cards not from Japan. The total was ¥3744.

They put up the playlists for both performance on Spotify/Apple Music as of May 20.

Below were my live reactions with some edits but it's mostly unstructured and all over the place in both English and Thai, heh.

Matinee Performance

  • The show started at 14:30 JST
  • Really large arena o_o
  • Order of appearances: cozmez, TCW (no Hanae), 獄Luck, AMPRULE, BAE, 悪漢奴等 (AKYR) (no Tasuku), VISTY, 1Nm8
  • 獄Luck's first song is カタルシス. Makonyan didn't squeak this round. I think he's more composed lol. I'm also kinda glad they kept the same hairstyling like last time. Tho it definitely felt different now that his hair is dyed darker shades.
  • Ayumu got a new haircut o_o! It's not fluffy like the usual.
  • The stream quality has gotten a bit better during AKYR song. Then kinda die again with VISTY dancesteps lol.
  • 1Nm8 got all the members this time, haha.
  • MC Talk after 1Nm8 performance – TCW, cozmez, 獄Luck joined them on the stage
    • Chiba-kun doing the MC duty
    • Lol, TCW members starting with deep voice then the cat-like voice later
    • Tosshi still dizzing VISTY
    • Makonyan really the one that said "sumimasennnn" LOL. Then he walked to the centre for a bit and walked back, making the other three of his team do it too. He's laughing and smiling more this time.
    • Tosshi having to comfort Chiaki was kinda hilarious lol.
  • BAE was the first to start after the talk
  • AMPRULE – they put the chair in the middle and walked towards it as the song progressed. The crowd went wild when Marina-san sat down, lol.
  • 悪漢奴等 – leader didn't have tinted glasses this time. I'm not used to it haha. Toki's hairstyle this time resembled his character more (maybe since he got longer hair now). They also kinda sang some parts along with Tasuku's part 😭
  • VISTY – for my stella. Cinnamonroll crashed their song XD
  • They performed the anime's OP song "RISE UP"
  • Talk part with the BAE, AMPRULE, AKYR, VISTY – Cinnamonroll also joined them lol
    • Yoshiki-kun doing the MC part
    • Cinnamonroll run up to Gakuto was so cute XD
    • LOL good selling part – collab dolls with Sanrio
    • Ads for the Stage performance and BAE's new album

  • 1Nm8 – เพิ่งสังเกตว่ารอบนี้มีรอยสักตรงต้นคอตามคาแรคเตอร์ด้วย (ทั้งสามคน) ทีมนี้ก็เดินไปตรงกลางเวที
  • TCW Shooting Arrows? – มีความเหงาๆ เวลาฮานาเอะไม่อยู่
  • 獄Luck SWAG – มีไฟฟู่ฟ่าด้วย เรารู้สึกว่ามาโบจังเกือบ fall down 555555 แต่อาจจะเป็นกล้องก็ได้ มันพยายามสั่นๆ แต่นางเก็บคาแรคเตอร์มาก ถถถ

Overall

  • Guys were very smitten by Cinnamonroll guest appearance XD
    • The Day show has the part where it danced with VISTY. But the night one only showed up during the talk part.
  • Love the part where team members calling out to their missing member (Hanae and Tasuku). Chiaki somehow mentioned Hanae in his speech as well, lol.
  • The larger arena with centre stage definitely gave a different mood from last year. Also prettier cinematography-wise with the fan light thing (its name left my brain at the moment, i'm sorry).
