little bits of ego

i still have little bits of ego

poking around

when my baby asks me to do reasonable things (like wash out such and such after i use it)

my baby says (would you wash out the such and such after you use it ??)

and those little bits of ego rise up !!

they say (im not wrong !! i didnt fuck up !! this doesnt reflect negatively on me !!)

they want to scream !!

but then the bigger part of me says

yes—i will do that—i will clean to make you happy—i will clean because you asked me to

my ego wants to get in my way

but why let it

why respond with ego in situations like this

there is no attack on my self

no insult here

just a person asking a person to do something

and a person changing their behavior

without ego
